Maybe you've noticed Day 7 appears twice once in Hunam, once in Light on German. I thought it was simply the most elegant solution because both storylines were big enough for me to deserve space, but it was to far apart from each other to merge it into one post. So I split them thematically.
So here is what happened:
After truly insightful conversations with interested local students over the past week, Light on German is about to reach its next major milestone:
Our landing page will be going live soon.
The development of our app has encountered some unexpected setbacks, which means that we now have to code everything by hand.
Originally, the plan was to already have a working prototype that people could test. Unfortunately, that is going to take more time than expected.
So we had to rethink our approach—and adjust our marketing strategy.
Instead of immediately giving people access to a prototype, we are now focusing on building anticipation.
That means speaking with local influencers, visiting language schools to conduct market research, talking to more German learners, and giving interested students the opportunity to join our waitlist.
And for that, we needed a proper website.
We have been drafting and developing it for several months now, and we finally feel ready to lift the curtain on its current state.
Over the past two days, I have mainly been adding the finishing touches and adapting the website to its new purpose.
At the same time, I have been connecting with the people behind some of the largest social media channels in the region—laying the groundwork for sharing the good news throughout Kerala.
Soon, you will be able to open the website in your own browser.
For now, here are a few first impressions:
